- A flat reduction of $75 is made for cores not requiring tensile analysis.
- A $50 additional charge is made for cores requiring verified asbestos analysis.
- Core turn-around is 3 Business days with prior notification of shipment to MTi.
SHIPPING and SAMPLING
Cores should be cut in accordance with ASTM D 2829. However, for cores requiring tensile analysis it is suggested that a larger core be cut, preferably
12 inches by 14 inches minimum. All aggregate should be collected and placed in with the core in a large plastic bag. It is advisable to double
bag samples for shipment. The sample can be wrapped in newspaper or any other packing material to protect the core during shipping. The sample
should be placed in a box of similar size to eliminate as much shaking or bending as possible during shipping. (A large pizza box has been found
to be quite adequate.) Please include any information desired with the sample to be shipped. Any details provided will be placed on the report
form. To expedite turn around time, please include any billing, or reporting information felt to be applicable. No information will be forwarded
without prepayment, established credit, or purchase order number. For core repair please consult any acceptable standard.
